The First Months of The ATP Calendar Are Confirmed

The Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) would have already confirmed the ATP calendar for the first months of the year. It means that it is until the month of June starting at the beginning of January, in the first week in Australia, the ATP Cup, the ATP 250 in Melbourne, and the one in Adelaide. These were played between January 1 and 9, 2022. Then the following week in Sydney and also Adelaide, where two ATP 250 tournaments were held.

Apart from the above, the Australian Open qualifiers were held, the same tournament that returned to Melbourne. In addition to this, to end the month of January, it closed with the Australian Open, which took place from mid-January until the 30th of the same month with Rafa Nadal’s historic victory.

After the first month of the ATP calendar, at the end of the Australian Open, the same event required each tennis player to be vaccinated against COVID-19, which is why the controversy with Novak Djokovic occurred. Leaving all this, we move on to Montpellier, Córdoba, and finally Pune. In the week of February 14, the 500 in Rio de Janeiro were played and, of course, the 250 in Doha, Marseille, and Delray Beach.

Then the Dubai 500, Acapulco 500, and, finally, the 250 in Santiago de Chile, Indian Wells, and also Miami was held to end the month of March with a lot of activity.
