According to The New Daily, Nick Hockley said that the Australian team would visit Pakistan in March next year, despite the diagnosis of a new strain of Coronavirus and a new strain of Omicron.
Our team members had recently visited Pakistan and we are working with the Pakistan Cricket Board,” He said.
He described the situation as “complicated” and said that “we are determined to visit Pakistan and if it is safe to visit Pakistan then we will definitely visit Pakistan.”
It is to be noted that Greg Chappell had recently expressed his hope in his column written in the Sydney Morning Herald that Australia will not back down from its scheduled tour of Pakistan in 2022.
He said that Pakistan deserves to host an excellent and strong Australian team.
He further said that our three members had recently returned from a 12-day tour of Pakistan, and they were impressed with the arrangements made for the series in March 2022.
Greg Chappell further wrote that the world of cricket and Test cricket needs a strong Pakistan team and his brand of cricket has always provided talented fast bowlers, famous spinners, and charming batsmen.
It should be noted that Australia had announced last month that in 2022, the Australian team will visit Pakistan to play a full series.
The three-Test, three-match ODI, and one-T20 series between the two teams will be played in March and April next year.
